Dr Jaco Naudé

Orthopaedics Surgeon | Foot & Ankle Specialist

Dr Jaco Naudé is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in foot and ankle surgery. Born and raised in Polokwane, Limpopo, he matriculated as Head Boy of Hoërskool Noorderland before earning his medical degree (MBBCh) from the University of the Witwatersrand, where his passion for orthopaedics was sparked.

After completing his internship at Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town, Dr Naudé returned to Limpopo to fulfil his academic scholarship obligations and gained hands-on orthopaedic experience at Mahwelereng Hospital in Mokopane. He then moved to Pretoria to commence specialist training at Steve Biko Academic Hospital. He qualified as a Fellow of the College of Orthopaedic Surgeons and completed a Master's in Orthopaedic Surgery (MMed, with distinction) through the University of Pretoria.

Since 2016, Dr Naudé has developed a keen focus on foot and ankle surgery. He led the Foot and Ankle Unit at Steve Biko Hospital in 2020 and went on to complete the South African Orthopaedic Association Foot and Ankle Fellowship through Wits University and Linksfield Hospital. He also took part in a travelling fellowship at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh, Scotland.

In private practice since 2021, Dr Naudé consults at Life Wilgers Hospital and operates at Life Wilgers Hospital, Cure Day Erasmuskloof, and Life Faerie Glen Hospital – a specialised orthopaedic facility in Pretoria. His practice includes elective and trauma-related foot and ankle conditions, with a strong focus on patient-centred outcomes and evidence-based care.

Committed to continuous learning and advancing his field, Dr Naudé regularly participates in international courses, conferences, and collaborative research. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles and remains actively involved in academic orthopaedics.

Outside the theatre, he is a proud husband and father of two daughters. He enjoys cycling, hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He lives by the motto of professionalism, positivity, and teamwork – values he brings to every patient interaction.

Outcome Score Surveys

As a consumer-centred organisation we aim to provide the best experience to our patients - before, after and during your interactions with us. If you are booked for a foot or ankle surgery, we would like to understand how your foot/ ankle problem impacted your life before surgery, if surgery improved your abilities and how we can better provide service to future customers.

Therefore, we would greatly appreciate your assistance in completing a survey before your surgery.

We will ask you to complete the same questionnaire again at regular intervals after the surgery, but at any time during the study you may choose not to participate without any negative consequences.

You can complete the survey on your computer, cell phone or tablet and it won't take longer than 10 minutes to complete.
